October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Following a routine mammogram I was recalled for a further mammogram and biopsies. Unexpectedly, on October 11th 2023 I was diagnosed with Grade 3, Invasive Breast Cancer, ER positive, HER2 negative. 2 surgeries, medication and a round of radiotherapy later, life has certainly changed, but without that routine screening it could have been very different. It’s been a long and painful year, but I’m still here.

Sadly, we all know someone touched by breast cancer and Friday 18th of October is Wear it Pink day for Breast Cancer Now.

Our Friday Brunch Club will be wearing pink and using our time together to have a raffle and raise some money. Please buy a raffle ticket or just make a donation through this page. Thank you - every little helps.
