Story
The photo is taken from the 24 hour relay in 2026 and it sums up the event brilliantly.
Since my ankle injury in 2017 I have really struggled with not being able to go on walks or runs. My main form of exercise became swimming and this has helped me so much. In May 2024 I discovered open water swimming and now do it on an almost daily basis.
I’m hoping to raise some more money for Level Water which is a brilliant charity providing one to one swimming lessons for children with disabilities. These lessons are joyful, empowering, and completely life-changing. I am only too aware that for many of these children, swimming is their only form of exercise, and this is something that is very close to my own heart.
Every £15 you donate funds one life-changing lesson. That’s why I’m doing this. That’s why your support means so much.
If you feel you are able to, please do consider donating as it really will make a difference to these children.
I’m swimming in a 24hr relay again to raise money for Level Water – a charity that gives children with disabilities the chance to learn to swim.
24 Hours I’ll Never Forget
Cold-water swims at 3AM. Firepits and friendships. Sunrise over the lake. The buzz of doing something brilliantly hard – for a brilliant cause.
It’s one of those events you hear about and think: I want to do that.
And if it speaks to you – don’t wait. It’s a classic and it fills up quick.
