In 8 week’s time I’ll be running my first ever half marathon , a rather hilly one at that! Not gonna lie, a little nervous, but it’s a challenge I really want to take on, especially knowing I’m doing it for such a worthwhile cause.

I’m running to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice Sheffield, a charity that’s very close to my heart. Our family has needed their care over the years as has a close friend’s mum. The compassion, dignity and support they showed during incredibly difficult times was invaluable. Something we will always be grateful for.

St Luke’s supports thousands of people across Sheffield every year, but only around 23% of their funding comes from the NHS. To keep their services running free of charge, they need to raise over £11 million each year.

£52 could contribute towards a home visit from their specialist palliative community nursing team

£150 could contribute towards 7 hours of care for their patients

£390 could contribute to a week of meals for 10 patients in their in-patient centre

I’m hoping to raise £1,000. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount , it would be HUGELY appreciated, whilst I take on these hills!

Sharing this just giving page would help too.
