Story
We are running the Omagh Half Marathon and the Strabane Half Marathon to raise money for the Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) Trust.
This cause is incredibly close to all our hearts as John Hughes, Sharon and Cathy's daddy, was diagnosed with MSA .This is an extremely debilitating and terminal brain disease that affects multiple body systems and severely reduces movement. This terrible illness has been life changing for John, it has significantly reduced his mobility so that he is now wheelchair bound and reliant on care, dramatically impacting his quality of life. As a result of this condition, John has faced very serious health challenges over the past year and this has resulted in numerous hospital stays and required long-term care in the local palliative care unit @ Omagh Hospital.
In light of this experience, we are determined to raise awareness about MSA and gather funds to support the Multiple System Atrophy Trust and provide some support for the Palliative Care Unit in Omagh. Our goal is to raise at least £1,000 GBP for this important cause. Your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by MSA.
About The Multiple System Atrophy Trust - it is the only charity in the UK and Republic of Ireland dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by MSA, a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. They also help fund vital research into both the cause and potential cure for this challenging illness.
We invite you to join us in this mission. Together, we can bring hope and help advance research that may one day lead to better treatments or even a cure for MSA.Thank you for your generosity ♥️
