Story
I need a challenge to keep me active... and more importantly, the refugees supported by Southampton Action need your help.
I am taking a virtual trek to Land's End, counting the miles I travel by walking and by riding my exercise bike. Along the way I'll be stopping off in my imagination at all my favourite West Country locations. You can join me if you like - either take a sponsored trip of your own, or comment on my updates with your own experiences of the places I'll be passing through. And while you're here, please donate anything you can afford.
If you'd rather stay home, please sponsor me to keep me motivated to keep moving through the cold winter months! I know how difficult times are at the moment, and I'll be grateful for every penny you can afford to give me, no matter how small.
Times are hard for all of us, but especially for the people seeking safety in the UK who are met by a hostile asylum system. Without charities like Southampton Action, people who have arrived with nothing would not even be able to source a change of clothes. We rely on donations of clothes and other necessities from our supporters, but for reasons of dignity or lack of suitable donated items, there are always some things we need to buy like toiletries, new underwear, and shoes in the correct sizes.
Thank you for your support!
