Kate & Bryony have decided to take on a challenge to raise funds for Alex, The Leukodystrophy Charity in May this year.

They have paid for a Wing Walk (standing on the outside of a bi-plane and going for a flight!) They would love you to encourage them to go for it and contribute to this great charity.

Kate & Bryony are taking on this challenge after working closely with Franklin's family for the last few years. Three years ago Franklin was a quirky funny little boy enjoying his childhood with his family and friends. After concerns were raised with his eyesight, a brain scan showed that Franklin had a Neurological degenerative condition called Adrenleukodystrophy.

Three years on from this heartbreaking diagnosis he has lost most of his physical abilities, he is now wheelchair bound receives nutrition through a peg into his stomach. His family have been amazing during this difficult time and have strived courageously to make as many positive experiences and memories as they can with Franklin and his sister Kennedy.

ALEX The Leukodystrophy Charity support families living with these disorders and work towards finding cures and prevention. All monies raised will go towards this charity to ensure they can support families such as Franklin's.

Leukodystrophies are rare genetic disorders that mainly affect the white matter of the central nervous system (ie the brain or spinal cord). They affect people of all ages and backgrounds, most notably children.

Leukodystrophies are usually degenerative, causing symptoms such as impaired mobility, vision, speech and hearing, incontinence,and loss of cognitive skills. In many cases, this sadly means a reduced or limited lifespan.
