I started my running journey in April 2024, inspired by my amazing Dad. My Dad - Jack was an incredible runner and completed 8 marathons in his day. His best being in an elite time of 2hrs 48mins! He loved running and lit up when he spoke about it. He was always giving me hints and tips and picking my mood up after a bad run. I promised him I'd take on a challenge and decided to enter the Paisley 10k.

In October 2024, our lives changed forever when my Dad was given a devastating terminal cancer diagnosis. He fought hard but we sadly lost him on 30th May 2025.

I had initially decided to run the 10k as a personal challenge but after the wonderful end of life care Dad received at ACCORD Hospice, it only seems right to run to raise money in my Dad's memory, for this incredible charity.

The staff at ACCORD not only cared for my Dad but they were so compassionate and supportive to my whole family and for this, I will be forever grateful.

I'm heartbroken that my Dad won't be there to cheer me on but he will be with me in my heart and will get me to the finish line.
