Story
For seven years I've worked for NSPCC and Childline, linking talented supporters to raise awareness and funds. I'm always happy to 'get stuck in', be that doing handstands, dancing at balls, capturing content, or jumping about on inflatable games (see picture above). In 2026 I stood at the roadside cheering other Marathon runners on. For 2027, for the first time, I'm the one doing the road running - finally taking on the London Marathon for the NSPCC, and helping to raise those vital funds.
I have started training and here we are on my very own fundraising page. Luckily, I will be running alongside my #TeamNSPCC teammates, Susan Wokoma, Oladimeji Ajegbile ('Dim') and Deanna Mackechnie.
But we can't do it without YOUR SUPPORT!
Can you spare a little cash to help spur me on to complete this physical challenge, to shine a light on and help fund all the amazing services NSPCC offers? [I wonder if you are aware of all the many things NSPCC does: https://www.nspcc.org.uk/about-us/our-services/]
I started working with the NSPCC after I became a mother. The 'Fight for a Fair Start' maternal mental health campaign brought me to the charity, and all the online safety, schools, abuse prevention, sports, family and carer support and baby-brain building campaigns keep me going.
I've seen first-hand how much NSPCC's work depends on people giving. Did you know that NSPCC is mostly publicly funded?
Whatever you can give goes straight to protecting children who need it most. No amount is too small, and every pound genuinely counts. Thank you. It means the world to me, and far more to the children, young people, families and carers the NSPCC is there for.
Every day, every child.
My page donations will be sent direct to the NSPCC in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!
