Catherine's fundraiser for Radio Lollipop (UK) Limited

Half Marathon - Copenhagen · 17 September 2023
This Sunday (17th September) I will be running my first ever half marathon. Long distance running has never been my thing but I have put in the hard work since January this year to get ready.
During those difficult runs when I feel out of breath, heavy legged and wanting to give up I think about the sick children in hospital who I am fortunate enough to interact with every Wednesday evening in Birmingham children's hospital. I am continuously inspired by their bravery, courage and resilience in the face of such sickness and pain. I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to bring a smile to these children's faces every week.
For those of you who aren't aware, Radio Lollipop is a globally operating charity who's sole intention is to provide care, comfort, play and entertainment for children in hospital. Each hospital where we operate has a studio, a DJ and a team of volunteers who play with the children on the wards and send in special requests to the radio so they can hear their very own shoutout and song requests. Like most charities, this wouldn't be possible without generous funds from the public so that we can operate at our full potential!
I appreciate everyone has charities close to their hearts but if you wanted to donate, any amount would be so valuable and really appreciated!
