Cardiff City Hospice

As so many friends and family will know, death has been a regular visitor to our home these past few years. What we have come to realise is that it is something we need to talk about. Something we need to learn to be comfortable with & with help from City Hospice something we shouldn’t fear.

The hospice provides community palliative care to those with life limiting & terminal illnesses, along with support and counselling to patients and their families. Their counsellors & therapists provide a range of services during, & long after, bereavement.

The Hospice feels like something wonderful sweeping in and lifting that weight way. They know how end of life impacts on us all & they know well how to help you navigate that relationship as each person’s journey is different.

Because of the impact they have had on my family, my son and I are having an adventure together and at the same time raising money for City Hospice. I have to admit, there are some selfish motivations. Both of us getting fit, spending precious time together and seeing the sun set and rise in the dessert. But, our primary motivation is to raise money for this pretty special charity. So, that there is that care and support for every family when someone’s sun does set.

We know times are tough, here and across the globe, but if anyone could spare a penny or two. We would be so grateful.

We will be updating you on our training program along the way and hope you will be part of our adventure while raising much needed funds for this amazing charity.
