Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I am running 12 marathons- 1 a month for the year! I am doing it to raise money for two charities very close to my heart. The Injured Jockeys Fund and Mind.

I have worked for the IJF for nearly 7 years at Jack Berry House and see the fantastic work they do. There aim is to provide appropriate support in a prompt and sympathetic manner to those jockeys past or present who are injured, unable to ride, or generally in need. I feel lucky to work with such amazing staff and patients and would love to help continue the work of the charity.

Mind is my second chosen charity who's aim is to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. I have personally struggled with my mental health at times but have been lucky enough to have the support of wonderful family, friends and co-workers and access to great mental health services. I feel very passionately that everyone should be able to access support should they need it and Mind works hard to ensure that no one feels alone if they are having a mental health problem.

This is going to be a huge challenge for me mentally and physically but any donation makes the hard miles worth while.

Thank you.
