Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you know that the past few years have been a bit of a rollercoaster for our family. My husband has been living with chronic kidney disease, including 18 months of PD dialysis, and in April 2025 he finally received the most amazing gift — a dual kidney transplant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. We will always be incredibly grateful 💙
To celebrate how far we’ve come (and because I clearly like a challenge!), I’ve decided to put my walking shoes to good use. On 2nd July 2026, I’ll be walking 15 miles from West Caister to Ness Point, Lowestoft, then turning around and doing the same 15 miles back that's 30 miles in total in 1 day — powered by determination, snacks, and hopefully your support!
I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for kidney research. Chronic kidney disease affects 1 in 10 people, and dialysis is incredibly demanding for those who go through it. More research means better treatments, better outcomes, and more second chances like the one my husband received.
I’m hoping to raise at least £500, and every donation — big or small — really does make a difference. Even a share or a few words of encouragement will help keep me going when my legs start complaining!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting such an important cause 💙
