I am running the Liverpool Half Marathon in March 2025 to raise funds for the amazing Young Carers Centre in St Helens!

I am the proudest mum to two truly incredible children, Joshua and Isabelle. Everyone who knows Josh knows what a gorgeous, funny, bouncy, mischievous, special little boy he is; and everyone who knows Izzy knows what a beautiful, loving, sassy, hilarious, precious little girl she is. What you might not know is that recently, Isabelle became registered as a young carer for the amazing way in which she helps, cares and supports her big brother, who has autism and ADHD. Their bond is so special and nothing brings me more joy than watching them grow and develop together! Izzy helps Josh in so many ways, from simple everyday tasks like helping him to get ready for school, to supporting him in tricky situations like helping him to regulate and calm down after a meltdown. She is a truly remarkable little girl and the absolute best sister!

As part of her young carer’s role, Isabelle now attends a regular group at the Young Carers Centre, along with other fantastic young carers. This group is so important to Isabelle; it’s a group where she has lots of fun, makes new friends, tries new experiences and importantly, it’s a space where she can be herself and have time away from the pressures of being a young carer.

I would love to raise money for the Young Carers Centre so that they can carry on providing such incredible, invaluable support to individuals like Isabelle and to families like mine.
