Story
So, here's the deal: I’ve decided to throw myself off a perfectly good building… on purpose. Why? Because I thought it might be fun to take part in an exciting fundraising event on the 10th July (with my colleagues at Tokio Marine Kiln) to abseil down the iconic Lloyds building in the city of London to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises funds to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre, in delivering exceptional care and pioneering research. The charity helps fund life-saving research, cutting-edge equipment, modern patient environments, and personalised treatment and care that supports both the physical and emotional wellbeing of cancer patients. Its work ensures that doctors, nurses, and researchers can continue to develop and deliver innovative treatments that benefit patients in the UK and globally
There will be nerves. There may even be some squealing. But every slightly terrified step down that wall will be worth it if it means raising money for The Royal Marsden.
So please, if you can, donate whatever you can spare. Whether it’s the price of a coffee or a small fortune (I won’t stop you), every penny helps and goes directly to supporting an amazing cause. TMK will also match the money I raise through fundraising!
Thank you for your support and wish me luck. I’m going to need it!
