I'm raising money to support the brilliant work of Contact Hostel. Based in Manchester, Contact helps vulnerable young women aged 16-19 from the Manchester area who are at a crisis point in their lives. Contact has been helping local young women in need since its foundation in 1970. The young women may have experienced relationship breakdowns, domestic violence, forced marriage, threatened abduction as well as physical and emotional abuse.

Contact has bedrooms for up to eight young women offering a welcoming and homely atmosphere in the heart of South Manchester. Contact helps young women get back on their feet and reach their potential giving them stability and providing support to enable a return to education, develop basic skills to support independent living, gaining employment or exploring training opportunities. Young women can stay from a few weeks up to 2 years.

Contact has helped nearly 1000 young women get back on their feet, and help them move onto better, happier futures, getting their own accommodation, studying at college, some have even gained university degrees and gone on to employment in a variety of sectors including the civil service. The work that Contact do is life-changing and is supported entirely by charitable donations.
