With a focus on patient-centred care, we combine state-of-the art-equipment, novel clinical trials, passionate staff and the most modern cancer research with compassion and effective psychological support so that our patients and their loved ones can feel fully supported throughout their cancer journey. We do this because we know each person and every cancer is unique - we don’t want to treat them all the same. Guy’s is the leading UK provider of care and treatment for people with cancer and we’re dedicated to helping patients navigate what can be the most challenging time of their lives. With all our services located under one roof within our bright and welcoming Cancer Centre, we’re able to offer seamless care every step of the way, from diagnosis, through treatment, and after, in an environment that doesn’t feel like a traditional hospital. We know that the landscape of cancer is changing. More people are being affected, but we’re at an exciting point in time when promising new therapies are being developed and research breakthroughs are waiting to be made. It’s crucial that we continue to fund the innovative research, treatment and exceptional care that takes place at Guy’s to ensure we keep going above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide as we help more people cope with and survive cancer.

Story

This will go towards the Roger Dawson Fund in memory of Roger E Dawson .

A treasured , renowned Double Bass Restorer and Maker . Affectionately known as 'Magic Hands'

Roger was a discreet , humble, genius . A master of his craft , he is sorely missed by all he knew . He died too early 4 years ago from Advanced Metastatic Prostate Cancer diagnosed too late.

Once diagnosed he was put under the care of Guys Cancer Prostate team who were incredible in their care . They gave us hope when the diagnosis was bleak , having no cure for his Cancer, it could only be managed .

With the continued help of those invaluable Consultants , Doctors , nurses , technicians , staff at Guys Cancer centre , he was able to live and work well and normally for many more years . I will always be indebted to them for giving us those precious years of hope and joy , despite the diagnosis ❤️

Help me raise funds for this precious Cancer Centre in memory of our dearest

Roger❤️
