Family and Friends of Worldwide Radiology Take On Snowdon! · 20 May 2023

Strengthening access to quality diagnostic imaging in underserved areas of low- and middle-income countries. Educating and supporting professionals in the use of relevant and appropriate diagnostic imaging equipment and techniques.

Story

To fundraise for Worldwide Radiology, we plan to climb Snowdon with friends, families and reluctant children! Come rain, hail or shine, we aim to summit Mount Snowdon on May 20th.

Who are Worldwide Radiology?

Medical imaging has revolutionised the practice of medicine for those who can access and afford it. However, the majority of patients in the world do not have access to even the most basic imaging tests. Even where such tests are available, a shortage of skilled trained staff means that the tests cannot be interpreted and therefore cannot accurately inform diagnosis and patient management.

Worldwide Radiology support the development of appropriate high quality imaging services in low and middle income countries. They train and work together with healthcare staff to build the necessary skills and capacity to improve patient care and aim to increase opportunities for imaging research focused on local or national healthcare priorities.
