Stoke and Newcastle Branch is launching it's Winter Appeal. This year the appeal is around abandonment.

Sadly, for a variety of reasons, cat abandonment is on the rise. At Cats Protection we’ve seen it increase by over 30% this year. And we’ve seen our own cases of abandonment here within the Stoke and Newcastle area.

We'll be sharing stories from this year, highlighting the important work we do and some success stories. Together we can make an even bigger difference for cats and kittens in the area.

Cats will never know why they’ve been abandoned. They only know the cold, fear and hunger, and that they’re far from home. But their journey doesn’t end there. Our expert team will get to know every abandoned cat so we can find their perfect owner and home, and ensure they’re healthy and ready to continue their journey. Your support will provide the food, warmth and expert care they need, until we find them a loving new home.

£2 could buy a soft fleece blanket for a cat in our care

£5 could feed one cat in Cats Protection care for 25 days

£10 would cover the cost of both a flea and worming treatment

£20 could buy kitten milk for one young kitten until they’re ready to be weaned onto cat food

£50 would provide one cat with a full first veterinary exam, vaccination and a flea and worming treatment
