A MESSAGE FROM THE CAUNCE FAMILY
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your wonderful response and generosity towards our D-Day celebration, what an incredible total we have raised so far and we’re aiming to reach a total of £25,000 on the day itself!
Please ensure you have read the below update so we can ensure the event runs smoothly.
Arrival
The event will be open from 12 noon. If you are glamping, tenting, caravaning or motor homing, please be with us and parked up by 11am to avoid any traffic issues.
There will be security on the gates. Thanks for putting all your names on the JustGiving page, this list will be the basis upon which security will admit attendees. We’re completely full at just over 300 attendees so please refrain from bringing anyone else above that which you have already listed to ensure we have enough food and drinks capacity for everyone.
This is an invitation only event, guidance on location and entry information will be sent to you directly. Please also restrict social media posts now or at the event to avoid any visitors.
Get your outfits ready!
We’re hoping you’re all coming in 1940s attire to make the day as memorable as possible. Some may wish for jest to wear a German uniform. We have no problem with this but please refrain from any Nazi Insignia. It’s possible that we may have some D-Day veterans attending on the way back from the 80th Anniversary commemorations in Normandy.
Thank you again for your generous, enthusiastic support, we all very much look forward to welcoming you to what we hope will be a memorable exciting day!
Very best wishes,
Chris, Maria, Tom, Teddy & Charlie
