Story
We have created a JustGiving page in memory of our beloved sister and daughter, Cayla Carter, who sadly died on 6th August, aged just 25, after complications arose following major surgery to remove a brain tumour.
We would be incredibly grateful for any donations to help us honour Cayla’s memory by supporting two places that were very special to her: Wild Goose and Bishop’s Place in Droitwich.
Cayla attended Wild Goose, where she was given wonderful opportunities and became part of a community that she loved. The team supported Cayla to experience new things, build friendships and live life to the fullest. It was a very special place for her.
For the last three years of her life, Cayla lived at another special place to her, Bishop’s Place with her friends and support workers. Bishop’s Place gave Cayla a home where she could develop her independence and be part of another wonderful community.
We would love to use any donations to create a memorial space at Wild Goose and provide an accessible swing for all, and a beautiful sensory garden at Bishop’s Place, where Cayla’s friends can spend time together, enjoy nature, reflect and continue to make memories in her honour.
Cayla brought so much love, joy and light to the people around her. We hope that by creating these spaces, a little piece of that light can continue to live on. Thank you for helping us honour Cayla and create a beautiful space in her memory❤️
