Story
We are taking part in an epic cycling challenge to beat Motor Neurone Disease (MND) this March.
Cazenove Capital and Schroders colleagues will be cycling over 800 miles between 10-13 March to raise £50,000 for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
We will be cycling from Scotland to Dublin, joining the “Doddie Triple Crown”. This is the rugby legend Rob Wainwright's epic annual cycling challenge to raise funds for the charity. The circuitous route is set as follows:
Day 1: Melrose to Leeds
Day 2: Leeds to Gloucester
Day 3: Gloucester to Pembroke(overnight ferry to Ireland)
Day 4: Rosslare to Dublin
We will also have colleagues joining on spin bikes in our London and Horsham offices, cycling across the four days, to help raise money and awareness for the cause from our staff gyms.
The cause
The My Name’5 Doddie Foundation honours rugby legend Doddie Weir, who fought MND with incredible courage. It funds cutting edge research, supports families living with the disease, and campaigns to give hope.
MND is a devastating, life shortening condition with no cure. It progressively affects the brain and nervous system, stripping people of mobility, independence, and ability to communicate.
Your donations help to drive urgently needed research, supporting those affected.
