Mission log, stardate 2026. To boldly drive where no banger has driven before. This time the coordinates say Benidorm.
Last year the USS Bongo NCC-2000, a Mazda Bongo V6 worth less than a decent set of tyres, made it to Vienna and back without a single warp core breach. Over the winter she went into dry dock at Starbase for a refit. She now has upgraded shielding, improved life support, and a sound system capable of transmitting on frequencies no Federation vessel should be able to reach. Structural integrity remains, in the words of engineering, "probably fine".
The crew
π΄ Captain Jack, commanding the mission.
π‘ Chief Engineer Sam, keeping the V6 at something approaching warp speed
π΅ Chief Science Officer Maggie, navigating Europe and the aux cable
π΅ Chief Medical Officer Kayleigh, patching up crew and vehicle, in that order if we are lucky
Who we are raising for
This year we are flying the flag for SWFT Charity, the charity for South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.
SWFT Charity funds things beyond what the NHS budget covers at Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford and Ellen Badger hospitals, plus community services across Warwickshire. That means better equipment, better wards and better experiences for patients, families and carers at the point where it matters most to them.
Every pound goes to the people who look after our friends, our families and our neighbours. Local staff, local hospitals, local difference.
Beam us some credits
We supply the questionable engineering and the fancy dress. You supply the funding.
Donate whatever you can spare. Even a few credits helps, and you get the smug satisfaction of knowing you sponsored a 26 year old van to cross a continent in Starfleet livery.
π Donate below and help us make this mission a success.
Live long and Bongo. π
