Story
We (Ellie, Laura, Connor, Bradley and Neha) will be rowing 50km between us on Friday 12th June as part of CBRE's Row 50.
We will be pushing ourselves physically to make a meaningful difference for a cause that touches so many lives.
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. It affects us all and devastates lives, tearing through families and robbing people of their identities and independence.
Each of us has our own personal reason for stepping up to this challenge. For some, it’s about supporting friends or family. For others, it’s about contributing to a wider societal issue that affects millions. But together, we share one goal: to be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Hear from some of our team why this is important to them:
Ellie - "This feels like a really meaningful opportunity for me to support a cause that’s close to my heart. My late great grandmother, Ada May, and my Auntie Linda both lived and suffered with Alzheimer’s, and sadly my dad’s cousin recently received an early diagnosis at just 60 years old. Seeing how dementia affects not just the person but the whole family is something that’s really stuck with me.
Being able to put that personal connection into something positive through work at CBRE and through this challenge makes it all feel even more worthwhile."
Through taking on Row 50, we are proud to be part of the society that will beat dementia.
Thank you so much for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a real difference.
