Story
Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.
For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
They’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they’re there to help them tackle the past and take on the future.
James will be donning full CBRN kit whilst collecting money for Combat Stress at Military Odyssey this year, go get photos with him or donate to his bucket of you see him wandering around.
As a civilian James wanted to empathise with the service men and woman that had to endure this kit for days at a time whilst doing their jobs without compromise and this challenge was deemed achievable and visible in a way that would help raise a much money as possible.
Should the weather become too hot there are alternative configurations available which will maintain the difficulty whilst providing concessions to James' health and safety.
