In August 2025, the Campbell College community was devastated, as we said goodbye to our little warrior, Adam Prentice.

Adam valiantly fought against cancer for most of his life and was a constant source of joy, laughter and admiration as he came to school every day. He was determined to be like any other schoolboy: come to school, attend classes, do homework, take part in activities, make friends...and wind up his teachers :) His charming wit, sarcasm and sense of humour was something pupils and staff alike grew to love and it is very much missed as we now come to school without him here.

Adam's memory will very much live on in Campbell, but to ensure others in a similar position as Adam do not lose hope, there needs to be more research into the specific type of brain tumour he had.

This is why, in the Spring of 2026, we four members of staff - Mr Gilliland, Mrs Johnston, Mr Livingston and Mrs McInerney - plan to launch ourselves out of a plane, with the hope that, in doing so, you will support us by donating some money to Adam's fund. We are petrified, but if Adam could battle on each day, never complaining or giving in to his illness, then we can do this!
