The Challenge

We’ll be taking on the breathtaking Seven Sisters hike, a 13.6 mile (22 km) coastal route from Seaford to Eastbourne. The hike involves a series of rolling chalk hills, with constant ascents and descents that make up the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs. It’s a challenge, but we’ll keep a steady pace with our high spirits and some traditional dancing along the way! 🥾🌊💃

Why We’re Raising Money

We are fundraising for the Wood Green Cypriot Community Centre, a cornerstone of the UK Cypriot community since 1979. This charitable organisation provides vital services and relies on donations to continue its work. Some of its key initiatives include:

✅ Meals-on-Wheels: Delivering hot, affordable, Cypriot-style meals to housebound residents in Haringey who struggle to cook for themselves.

✅ Luncheon Club: Providing home-cooked meals every weekday to elderly and vulnerable members of the community.

✅ Day-Care Services: Supporting the disabled and elderly Monday to Friday.

✅ A Cultural Hub: The Centre brings together all Cypriots, maintaining a strong sense of Cypriot identity through community events, social spaces, and the beloved kafeneion/kafe (café), where people can meet, play tavli/tavla (backgammon), and enjoy traditional Cypriot coffee. ☕🎲
