This year we are walking to raise money for a local charity Bath MENCAP society. During my time as a support worker in Bath i witnessed first hand how important the groups as activities run by the Bath Mencap Society are to the people that use them. They provide people with various disabilities the opportunity to socialise and build friendships whilst having fun and being independent. Without these groups many people would become isolated and not have the opportunities that are open to them.

Bath mencap society is a local charity supporting people with learning disabilities and their families and carers in Bath and North East Somerset. We aim to improve the lives of those with a learning disability through education and social activities.
