Story

The Club

Corstorphine Dynamo FC is a football club and charity registered in Scotland (OSCR SC052411). The club aims are to support the local community and engage and support people of all abilities in playing and enjoying football. The Club is developing at a rapid pace due to it's community ethos and future development plans.

The Team

The Corstorphine Dynamo 2011s (Blue) team are a great group of players, many of whom have been playing together for years. Some of our players have been registered with other clubs but have gravitated towards Corstorphine Dynamo because of our inclusive approach and whilst we like to win, it's not the be all and end all, it's about enjoying playing football and building lifelong friendships.

The players support each other in learning to play football and improve, but also outside football as they deal with the challenges of growing up.

To keep a football team going at youth level costs around £8-12k per year. This money goes towards providing training and match kit, lets for training and matches, paying for referees and league membership costs as well as specialist coaching to reinforce our volunteer coaches.

Most of this money comes from the parents of the players who are benefiting from coaching, although we never turn a player away. Sponsorship and grants help. There is a lot of things this doesn't include that we have to fund raise for.

If we want to develop the team as they improve we may need specialist help and support. Team building is key to youth football and is a life skill that will benefit the players as they move into jobs and careers going forward. All these things require us to carry out fund raising.

To support our 2025/26 season we are concentrating our efforts on the Edinburgh Kilt Walk but will be running other fund raising and will update this page with further details.
