Brooklyn Andrew is raising money for The Rivers Trust

Rowing the River Thames - On Land

Each year the Society's President nominates a charity of their choice for the Annual Charity Appeal, and this provides a national focus for the fundraising efforts of our members and complements the many local charities that our branches support.

Story

Brook, Trish and Bruce - 3 Court Development Officers form Foresters Friendly Society are taking on the challenge and Rowing the length of the River Thames. 215 Miles all in aid of the HCR appeal - To raise vital funds for The Rivers Trust.

The Challange began on Saturday 22nd Feb - All 3 of us will be Rowing the Length using Rowing machine's a will be tracking our distance using the distance monitors. Updates will be given.

We aim to finish the last mile at our Society Annual General Meeting Sunday 22nd Jun 2025.

Healthy rivers are a powerful ally in mitigating the effects of climate change; they can protect communities from flood and drought events, and they bolster ecosystem and biodiversity resilience.

Yet, the majority of our rivers in the UK & Ireland are far from healthy.

I'm fundraising to support the work of The Rivers Trust to help our rivers thrive.
