Hi all and thanks so much for taking time out to read this!

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

In March 2024, myself and colleagues from CEFAS will be running the Weymouth 10K in aid of PAPYRUS. This charity aims to break the stigma around young suicide, whilst equipping young people and their communities with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour.

Here are some snippets from PAPYRUS' website:

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.

£20 can pay for resource packs aimed at supporting teachers.

£200 can cover the cost of one person attending Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)

Thank you again, all your donations will make a difference.
