🇬🇧 I've never been one for charity, but life knocks at the door and reminds you that you can never say never. In November 2023, my auntie Luigia passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's. She was - for me - like a grandmother: I have the sweetest and most splendid memories with her and thanks to her. Every time I went back to Italy, I told her to wait for me because, deep inside, I hoped she could live forever. Aware that eternal life is a concept, I decided to ensure that my auntie Luigia lives forever: run a half marathon and raise money for those who suffer because of Parkison's and help them be more active, exactly how it was done for her. It's also a way to show gratitude to those who, before me, did the same.

My auntie has always been full of life and with a great spirit, the only thing I can do for her is live to the fullest!

🇮🇹 Non sono mai stato tipo da beneficienza, ma la vita bussa ti ricorda che non puoi mai dire mai. Nel Novembre 2023, è venuta a mancare mia zia Luigia dopo una lunga lotta contro il Parkinson’s. Lei, per me, era come la nonna: i ricordi più dolci e splendidi ce li ho con e grazie a lei. Ogni volta che tornavo in Italia, le dicevo di aspettarmi perché, in cuore mio, speravo potesse vivere per sempre. Consapevole che la vita eterna è un concetto, ho deciso di far sì che mia zia Luigia viva per sempre: correre una mezza maratona e raccogliere soldi che verranno destinati a tutti coloro che soffrono a causa del Parkison’s e aiutarli ad essere più attivi. Esattamente com’è stato fatto per mia zia. E’ un modo per essere riconoscente a chi, prima di me, ha fatto la stessa cosa.
