Raffle of very large original painting by Celia Bennett · 31 July 2024

Rob Burrow was an inspiration. Despite facing his own challenges, he was devoted to raising awareness and funds to help people living with MND in Leeds and their loved ones, until the end.

Story

I'm supporting this appeal because I have been deeply moved by the recent death of Rob Burrow and want to raise money to help make his dream of a centre for MND patients come true.

I've chosen the amount of £777 in honour of Rob's number 7 shirt.

I’m donating one of my large original paintings, so you could win this beautiful work of art with just a donation of £5! The bigger your donation, the more you increase your chance of winning! Make sure you leave your email address so we can contact you if you win!

All money raised from this raffle will be donated to the Rob Burrow MND appeal. Each £5 you donate will give you one ticket in the draw. You can donate as much as you would like - your generosity is hugely appreciated.

The draw will be made on 31 July 2024 in Leeds by the Leeds Hospital Charities fundraising team. The painting is in mixed media - size 4ft x 3ft.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. YOU MUST leave your name and contact details (email or phone number) if you want to take part in the raffle.

2. Due to shipping restrictions, this raffle is ONLY OPEN TO UK BASED RESIDENTS.

Rob and his family bravely chose to publicly share their MND journey to raise awareness of the disease. You can watch the documentary ‘There’s only one Rob Burrow’ on BBC iPlayer.

Rob died on 2 June 2024 at the age of 41. His dream was to raise enough money to build a centre for MND patients to help them live the best life they can whilst receiving treatment for this devastating disease.

My goal is to help raise awareness and some much-needed funds for the appeal. I have family and friends who have lost loved ones to MND, or who have loved ones currently experiencing MND and the life-changing consequences for them and their families.

‘In a world full of adversity, we must dare to dream.’ Rob Burrow
