For reasons I can't quite explain, I have decided to run the Manchester Half Marathon in October. Truth be told, I thought this would be a brilliant idea in January when sign-ups opened, but now, a short-while from the start line, I am perplexed by my decisions.

I have decided to put my suffering [21.1 km] to some use by fundraising for a worthy cause: Together Women. Together Women supports women and girls across the North of England, with particular focus on women who are involved in, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system. As a northern lass myself who finds herself coming more and more into contact with women entering or leaving the criminal justice system, this is a cause which is close to my heart.

Together Women assists and supports women of all ages and cultural backgrounds, whether it be via counselling, asylum and housing support, substance misuse rehabilitation, or education facilities.

I would be so grateful if you could spare any amount, large or small, or just give my page a share.
