It takes an average of 7 times to leave an abusive relationship. We're taking on a triathlon with a difference – 7 laps of Bude Sea Pool, a 7-mile walk from Instow to Barnstaple, and a 7-mile cycle to Braunton – all to raise funds for NDADA

Story

On September 14th, 2025, I’m jumping from 15,000 feet to raise £5,000 for NDADA.

I’m jumping out of a plane!

That sentence alone still makes my stomach turn—because I’m genuinely scared of flying. So voluntarily jumping out of one? That’s pushing every limit of my comfort zone.

But I’m doing it for a reason that’s bigger than fear.

I’m raising funds for NDADA (North Devon Against Domestic Abuse)—an organisation that helps people take a different kind of terrifying leap: leaving an abusive relationship. For many, walking away is one of the bravest, most life-altering decisions they'll ever make. It means stepping into the unknown, facing fear, and trusting that there’s something better on the other side.

That’s what this jump represents for me. It’s not just about the height, the plane, or the fall—it’s about showing solidarity with those who take far scarier steps every day, often without support or safety nets.

I’m scared. But fear, as I’ve learned, is part of growth. And facing it is how change happens.

Please support me in this jump. Please! Every donation goes directly to NDADA’s vital work—providing safety, support, recovery and the chance to start over.

I’m taking the leap so others can too.

Please donate if you can. Every pound makes a real difference.

Thank you 💜
