Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is an autoimmune condition in which there is an increased tendency for the blood to clot. The condition can cause strokes, heart attacks, pulmonary emboli and DVTs. In pregnancy, APS is a leading cause of recurrent miscarriage and stillbirth.

Story

I’m taking part in the Saucony London 10K to raise funds for APS Support UK, a charity dedicated to supporting people affected by Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS). APS is a serious autoimmune condition that can lead to blood clots, strokes, and pregnancy complications, yet it remains widely under-recognised.

By running this 10K, I hope to raise awareness and contribute to vital support services, research, and education that can improve lives and outcomes for those living with APS. Every donation helps make a real difference.
