Our team is taking on a tough but beautiful challenge to raise money for our incredible hepatology team — walking the full length of Ceredigion from North to South along the stunning coastal path over three days at the end of September 🥾🌊 Every day we see firsthand the difference our team makes to people living with liver disease and their families, providing specialist care, support, and hope during some of the most difficult times. We also run regular liver health events in the community, helping to detect liver disease early — often before symptoms appear — so people can access treatment and support as soon as possible 💛 Funds raised will go towards vital equipment to expand these liver health events and reach even more people. Along the route, we’ll also be stopping to raise awareness, including a talk and Q&A around fatty liver disease on Aberystwyth Prom on Friday 25th September, and another session in the main field/park area in Aberaeron on Saturday 26th (times to be confirmed). Do you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes? Come along to get answers about fatty liver disease - now the third biggest killer in the UK - and learn how to protect your liver. The walk will be physically demanding, with long distances, steep climbs, and whatever the Welsh weather throws at us, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges our patients face daily. We’re doing this to give something back and help ensure our team can continue delivering life changing care and early intervention services.
