Muddy Challenge for MS · 20 August 2023

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Its about to get really muddy!

In 6 weeks time I am heading to Clyne Farm, Swansea to attempt to complete the 'Worlds Muddiest Assault course.

As many of you know I have several close connections with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which inspired me to join the MS Society as Community Fundraiser for Wales in 2021. Since then I have met so many amazing and totally dedicated people working to help Stop MS.

MS is an unpredictable, incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly, or progress steadily, bringing a range of debilitating symptoms and no one with MS knows when or how it will affect them next.

Recently meeting the neuroscience team at Swansea University and their total commitment to researching this complex condition made me more determined to support this incredible cause.

So, along with members of Swansea MS Group, the Swansea Uni research team and anyone else who fancies hitting the mud we are doing the Muddy Challenge on Sunday 20th August to raise awareness and fundraise for MS research.

I'd be hugely grateful for anything you can give, and hopefully together we will raise a great amount for research into this complex condition.

We will be sure to post plenty of before and after pictures!
