Story
This years challenge has to be bigger and better than before and what better way to do this than to involve even more of @theaquaticbody’s clients
50 swimmers and kayakers guided by 6 - 8 power boat’s will take on the epic challenge to all swim the full length of Windermere
On the 18th July they will all leave Fell Foot at Midnight and swimming at their own pace into the sunrise arriving at Ambleside to celebrate their swims
The team will be guided and supported in the water by an awesome Team and their safety will be paramount at all times
It had to be the number 50 because I celebrate becoming 50 years old this year however more importantly the event is a celebration of everyone’s achievements as a swimmer and as always to raise money for Children with Cancer
Many of the Team have only learnt to swim Front Crawl with @theaquaticbody over the past 2-8 years so the commitment and determination to undertake this challenge should not be underestimated
Our vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer.
For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond.
Our work has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates and improved quality of life for patients.
