Cerys' SWCP fundraiser for The Wave Project

Cerys OConnor is raising money for The Wave Project

South West Coast Path

The Wave Project is a national charity delivering Surf Therapy. We combine the power of the ocean (and other blue spaces), physical activity and trusted relationships to build resilience, confidence and calm. Fundraise with us and help more young people access early support that works!

Story

Thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page.

My mum (Helen), sister (Molly) and I are taking on the challenge of walking the entire South West Coast Path - 630 miles in just 45 days.

We set off on the 24th of June from Minehead and will be finishing at South Haven Point (Dorset) in August and will be camping most nights, and carrying our backpacks along the path which has a total elevation equivalent to climbing Everest 4 times!!

We are walking to raise money for The Wave Project, an amazing charity that supports children’s mental health and wellbeing through Surf Therapy and access to the outdoors. They offer young people a different kind of support — one rooted in nature, confidence-building, and community.

This is something we all feel passionately about as Cerys works in children’s mental health, Molly is an Occupational Therapist and Helen is recently retired from a career in education.

Outside of work, we all love spending as much time as possible walking, and being by the sea or in it! Raising money for the amazing The Wave Project, whilst walking the South West Coast Path, is close to our hearts.

Thank you for any donations or support along the way - it really means a lot and will help to keep us walking!
