Story
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects over 11,000 people in the UK — and 1 in 25 of us carries the faulty gene without even knowing it.
I was diagnosed later in life, at 22, after years of struggling with my health and not receiving the right treatment. By that time, my lung capacity had dropped to just 63%. Since then, with the right care, the incredible support of my CF team in Southampton, and the ongoing work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, my lung function has significantly improved. I'm now expected to live a relatively normal life — but I’m one of the lucky ones. That’s not the case for so many others living with CF.
This condition impacts not just our physical health, but also our mental wellbeing and the way we navigate everyday life. But as a community, we’re united in working toward a future where everyone with CF can access effective treatment — and ultimately, a cure.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is at the heart of that mission. Their research, advocacy, and support services are life-changing — and they wouldn’t be possible without ongoing fundraising.
At TGB, we’re proud to support CF Week with a series of fundraising activities, including events at HQ and donating a percentage of all Yellow product sales throughout the week.
Whether or not CF has touched your life personally, any donation — no matter how small — can help fund the vital work the CF Trust continues to do for people like me. Thank you so much for your support 💛
