Following the awful events in Israel over the past two weeks, the Israel Defence Force has called up an unprecedented 300,000 reservists and equipping all these soldiers with the very best equipment is a massive task.

Aron the son of our very own Rabbi Aryeh and Rebbetzin Devorah Sufrin is currently with his unit in the Carmelli brigade near the Lebanon border.

While they have much of what they need they don’t have the very latest in body armour

Chabad have teamed up with a UK manufacturer of body armour who has agreed to supply full body armour kits to all 20 soldiers in his unit at less than cost. To be clear, this is armour made to IDF specifications and fully licensed by the UK Government for export to Israel.

The cost of each set is £1,064 delivered to Israel, and we need to raise £21,280 quickly to provide 20 kits for this unit.

The plane leaves Friday 20 October 2023 so time is of the essence. Ideally we need to order the kit TODAY. One of our community who has served in the IDF has volunteered to accompany the equipment to Israel at his own cost to make sure that it is delivered to the soldiers in Aron's unit
