I'm Running 10 Miles to Protect South Africa's Wildlife!**

I’m taking on a 10-mile trail running event, and I’m doing it to raise funds for Project Rhino — an award-winning conservation initiative dedicated to protecting South Africa’s endangered wildlife and combating poaching

My company 'Miro & Makauri' have worked with Project Rhino for a number of years with help in essential funding to help pay for vet medicine costs for the specially trained dogs..

Project Rhino works tirelessly by deploying specialized conservation dogs, supporting frontline rangers, and running vital community outreach projects. Their work not only protects endangered animals but also empowers local communities, supporting initiatives like vaccination programs, rescue dog training, and youth empowerment camps.

The urgency is real:

- **420 rhinos** were killed in South Africa last year alone.

- Nearly **1,000 rhinos** have been poached over the past two years.

- In areas where trained conservation dogs are deployed, poaching rates drop by up to **75%**.
