In May 2025 Councillor Lee Hartshorne was elected as Chair of North East Derbyshire District Council for the Civic year 2025-2026.

Lee first got elected to the District Council in 2019 and represents Grassmoor Ward. He is committed to representing and helping the people of North East Derbyshire in any way that he can.

During his year as Chair Lee has chosen to support Macmillan Cancer Support as his official charity during his term in office. Macmillan nurses provide critical care, comfort, and support to those facing cancer, helping not only patients but also their families through immensely challenging times. Over the coming year Lee is committed to raising as much as possible to support their invaluable work, so is reaching out to ask for your kind support.
