UDC Chair, Cllr Geof Driscoll cycles 70 miles for Accuro

Cllr Geof Driscoll, will be cycling over 70 miles around the district for one of his 'Chair's Charities' - Accuro · 4 September 2023
Cllr Geof Driscoll is cycling around Uttlesford on an e-bike to raise money for local disability charity, Accuro.
Geof, who is Chair of the Council for 2023/24, is doing the ride in September and will cover more than 70 miles over several days as he visits every ward in the district.
He is raising awareness and funds for STRIDE, a six-month life skills project run by Accuro Essex for young adults with a learning disability in west Essex. The programme covers essential topics for independent living such as healthy living, relationships, household tasks, keeping safe, employment, digital skills and much more.
Geof said: “Accuro STRIDE is a fantastic project and makes a big difference in helping these young people to build their confidence and independence. I’ve been very keen to raise awareness of the charity after seeing the friendships and happy faces of the group when I was invited to last year’s graduation. I would be very grateful for any sponsorship in aid of this very worthy cause.”
