Story

Fatima's UK Campaign focuses on improving the life chances and experiences of children in care and care leavers. In order to thrive, everyone deserves a fair start in life. This equates to a safe, happy, and healthy childhood, with access to equal opportunities during their primary years.

This challenge didn’t start in the Dolomites. It started a long time ago. Through life, through experience, through seeing what Happens when children and young people in the care system don’t get the support they need—when they are left to face the world on their own.

That stays with you, and it drives you.

This July, I will take on a 200km challenge across the Dolomites. Trekking. Hiking. Climbing. Kayaking. Pushing through mountains, across water, and whatever conditions come my way. It will be tough.

But it’s nothing compared to the journey many children and young people in the care system face every single day.

Through Fatima’s UK Campaign, we are working to change that story. We bring people together—breaking down silos between local authorities, businesses, charities and communities.

At the heart of this are our Action Hubs, providing joined-up support across education, employment, mental health, housing, sport, art and technology.

Please support this challenge, and donate if you can. Help us reach more children and young people in the care system.

Every child deserves to be seen, heard and valued.

What more can you do—together—to change a life?
