For 2026, we're delighted to be supporting The Zone Plymouth. This charity is especially close to my heart. The Zone is dedicated to supporting young people aged 13–25 to live safe, healthy and positive lives. Since 1990, it has provided free, confidential information, advice and practical support across a wide range of issues, including mental health, emotional wellbeing, sexual health, housing, relationships and homelessness. Through its experienced staff and volunteers, The Zone offers a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where young people can access the guidance, resources and specialist services they need to overcome challenges, build resilience and reach their full potential...

As a Trustee of The Zone, I see first-hand the incredible work they do to support young people across our city. On a personal level, the reason I became a trustee was that the building itself means a great deal to me, as my late wife spent three years under the care of an organisation based there. It has always been a landmark with special memories for me, so being able to support The Zone through this year's competition makes it even more meaningful…
