Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There is a terrible war in Israel and Gaza. We are heartbroken and shocked after witnessing Hamas' terrible brutality in their attack on innocent people, young and old. Over 1300 people died, scores have been taken hostages and many thousands are wounded, both body and soul. The Israeli Palestinian Beareved Families Forum is an organisation comprising 700 Palestinian and Israeli families bereaved by the conflict who use their pain to increase empathy and create dialogue and reconciliation across the divide, instead of giving in to revenge. They call both sides to find and see the human face of the other side. Sadly, there will be many more bereaved families by the present war, and the Bereaved Families Forum (also known as the Parents Circle-Bereaved Families Forum) will support those who join them and give them hope for a different future. I have been incredibly moved by and involved with the amazing work of the Forum through the British Friends of the Bereaved Families Forum (FBFF). You can hear Rami and Bassam, members of the Forum speaking yesterday on the Moral Maza (from 35:00) https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001r850 . Please donate generously. Their work is vital right now.
