Story
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s someone’s dad, brother, partner, or friend. In 2013, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thanks to early diagnosis and treatment, he became cancer-free and has since dedicated himself to supporting Prostate Cancer UK. Over the years, he’s volunteered at events, participated in awareness campaigns, and worked to spread the word, especially to Black men, who are at higher risk of this disease. My mom and I are proud to run this marathon to honor his journey, raise awareness, and help fund vital research so more families can have the same hopeful outcome. Thank you for supporting us and Prostate Cancer UK.
