Chantelle's 10k run for icandance

Chantelle Kinge is raising money for icandance

Regent's Park 10k Run

We believe dance has the power to transform communities, reshape perceptions of disability and amplify the voices of our dancers. "icandance has been a lifeline to find a place where my son is understood, valued and cared about.” - Parent of L.

Story

Hi, I'm Chantelle

I'm a mum to 2 beautiful girls 😀

My eldest daughter, Madison was diagnosed with Autism and additional learning difficulties at a young age. She went on to join icandance (an inclusive dance school aimed at supporting those with learning, social, sensory and physical needs).

At icandance Madison thrived, developed confidence, became more vocal (she was previously non- verbal) and it was evident she had found a supportive community and sense of belonging amongst the other children and incredible staff that work there.

Inclusive classes and communities for disabled children and young people are not as common as they should be, icandance is an inspiring charity and has broken the mold. I love how they emphasize, focus and nuture what the children can do, opposed to can't. They do regular seasonal and annual shows where the children perform on stage and it never fails to deeply move me and make me feel joy, as a mother, I can tell how much the icandance community means to all the children involved.

And this is why I am planning a 10k run at Regents Park next month in order to raise as much funds as possible in support of such an amazing company and cause xxx
