Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems.

I am raising money for Carers Trust in memory of my beloved friend Savanna. I will be fighting with WCB EVENTS in December. Savanna passed away suddenly this year and it has been a loss for so many. Savanna was a carer for most of her life to her mum. She had a close relationship with her and when her mum passed away a few years ago. Savanna was severally impacted. She didn't receive the help she needed to process such a loss. Many do not realise the sacrifice that comes with being a young carer most of Savannas life was dedicated to making sure her mum was ok. She had a heart of gold and was so loving to everyone. I am so heartbroken that she is no longer with us and has left a beautiful son behind. I knew savanna for over 15 years and we was like sisters. Since her death ive not been coping well. As it was major shock as she passed away suddenly.

So I decided to channel my anger and pain into something positive. Boxing for charity is something that will help me heal through this grieving I am faced with.

Please help me to raise money so other young carers/carers can get the support they need and be able to have therapy.

I also have been a carer for most of my life. So this charity means a lot to me also.

Savanna was the first person I met in my life who could relate to being a carer. She was a one in a million type of person and I know she would be proud that I am doing this. I also know she would be honoured that I am sharing how much she contributed to the care of her beloved mother.
